Experience

Reena has broad experience representing corporations, governmental entities, and individuals in high stakes internal, whistleblower, or government-initiated investigations in matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, fraud, sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and violations of other law or policy.  She has experience counseling large companies and governmental entities in a broad range of industries in compliance matters and represents companies in complex civil litigation.  Reena’s pro bono practice has included litigating matters in Illinois state criminal court and in Immigration Court. 

Reena returns to private practice after serving two years in state and local government during the onset and height of the pandemic, gaining on the ground experience with crisis management, state and local rulemaking, state policy, emergency powers, cannabis regulation, clemency, police reform, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Experience

  • Reena represented an individual and construction company in investigations of financial fraud initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

  • Reena served as a lead associate for an oil and gas company in a cross-border government-initiated Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation, including responses to inquiries from and representation in front of the Department of Justice and Securities Exchange Commission.

  • Reena led a large team of associates in all investigative efforts and advocacy in a large-scale qui tam complaint for a large medical device company.

  • Reena has conducted several sensitive investigations on behalf of clients in numerous industries, including Title IX investigations for large universities and investigations of misconduct by high level employees in corporations and government.
