Experience

After several years practicing employment law and commercial litigation in New York City, Lance moved to Chicago and joined Valentine Austriaco & Bueschel. His practice focuses on internal investigations and counseling for both private and public sector clients and representation of employers in administrative proceedings. He conducts complex investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and ethics or regulatory violations. Lance has represented employers in proceedings before the EEOC and the New York State Division of Human Rights and has litigated commercial disputes in both state and federal courts. He has also advised employers on workplace policies, risk management strategies, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.  Known for his practical approach, Lance helps clients navigate complex employment and compliance challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Lance has provided pro bono services regarding landlord-tenant disputes and veteran benefits issues.
